WHERE: The Northwest corner of Bird Road (SW 40th Street) and SW 102nd Avenue
During the 2010 Legislative Session, The Honorable Senator Anitere Flores sponsored and passed legislation to name a portion of Bird Road from SW 102nd Avenue to SW 117th Avenue in honor of Anthony “Tony” J. Perez, a resident of district 38.
This Friday, January 21st, 2011 we will gather together to celebrate Tony’s life and recognize Bird Road, between SW 102nd Avenue and SW 117th Avenue as “Anthony J. Perez Street.”
