Our first Walk & Safety fair last year was so successful that we have incorporated a Run this year to satisfy the runners! Our Second 5K Walk/Run for Carbon Monoxide Awareness at Tropical Park’s Football Stadium will happen on Saturday, November 10, 2012 with registration at 8:30am. The Event is 100% free to the public since our number one goal is to promote awareness of the silent killer in an effort to save lives. The event is carried out via donations received from the community, individuals, vendors, corporations and so forth. We offer community Service Hours to anyone in need of them – all you have to do to earn hours is attend the event and interact. Should you wish to earn additional hours, you may sign up to be a volunteer by contacting Vilma Perez at 305.505.2860 or send me an email to: Vilma.Perez@AnthonysLight.org.

More info on the #InvisibleKiller
Carbon monoxide, also known as CO, is called the "Invisible Killer" because it's a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. More than 150 people in the Unites States die every year from accidental non-fire related CO poisoning associated with consumer products.
Check out CPSC's CO Information Center for valuable details and resources for keeping your family safe from the risk of poisoning.
