Throughout her high school years, Laura committed herself to academic performance, extracurricular and community service activities. Since the beginning of her freshman year, she started taking challenging AP and Dual Enrollment classes, which placed her in the top one percent of her school. She was a member of several school clubs like the National Honor Society and the Math Honor Society, and president of the Foreign Language Honor Society. Laura dedicated her time to helping the homeless of our city by volunteering at The Open Bible Church of Kendall for two years. She is currently serving as an intern student at Baptist Hospital and is planning to attend Emory University to major in Biology, aspiring to be a neurologist someday. More info on the #InvisibleKiller
Carbon monoxide, also known as CO, is called the "Invisible Killer" because it's a colorless, odorless, poisonous gas. More than 150 people in the Unites States die every year from accidental non-fire related CO poisoning associated with consumer products.
Check out CPSC's CO Information Center for valuable details and resources for keeping your family safe from the risk of poisoning.
